Grief Support Services are inviting people with lived experience of suicide bereavement to express interest in joining our Suicide Loss Service Peer Team. These volunteer peers provide one-on-one time supporting other people who have also been bereaved by suicide. The peers assist with emotional and practical support and full training is given. We welcome all adult applicants, with particular availability for male volunteers and people from Maori and Pasifika communities. Contact Grief Support Services on 07 578 4480 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Grief Support often has roles for Counsellors. Please call us and discuss.
Grief Support Services is looking for more volunteer counsellors.
We have grown and our resources need to grow with us. Grief Support Services is a not for profit organisation offering counselling to those who suffer grief from many causes. The service is provided by trained, professional counsellors located in Greerton. There is a team of seventeen paid staff, volunteers and students.
Due to increasing demand for our services we are looking for a number of volunteers. The commitment can be just a few hours a week, or more if you are able to commit more time.
Volunteers must be qualified and registered counsellor or working towards their full registration. We have a great team who support each other in a friendly cooperative work environment. There are opportunities for training and supervision in the volunteer role.
Please contact Janet Baird at Grief Support Services if you are interested at 578 4480 or email@example.com
