HORIZONS SUICIDE LOSS SUPPORT GROUPS
Losing someone to suicide can feel incredibly isolating. Horizons offers a safe and supportive space to connect with others who understand the unique experience of suicide loss.
Our groups provide an opportunity to share, listen, and be alongside others who are walking a similar path. There is no pressure to talk — you are welcome to share as much or as little as feels right.
Our focus is on supporting each other through grief, rather than discussing the details of how our loved ones died. We honour each person’s story, their loss, and their journey. Suitable for age 18+.
The Papamoa Horizons Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month in the Tarahiki Room, Papamoa Community Centre, 15 Gravatt Road, Papamoa from 10am - 11:30am. The Tauranga Horizons Support Group meets the last Tuesday of each month at Grief Support Services, 147 Chadwick Road, Greerton from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.
Upcoming 2026 dates for Papamoa Horizons: 11 Aug, 8 Sep, 13 Oct, 10 Nov, 8 Dec
Upcoming 2026 dates for Tauranga Horizons: 28 Jul, 25 Aug, 29 Sep, 27 Oct, 24 Nov, 29 Dec

"We talk about them not because we are stuck or because we haven't moved on, but we talk about them because we are theirs, and they are ours, and no passage of time will ever change that."
