We provide counselling and information for everyone experiencing grief and loss within the Western Bay of Plenty.

We believe in communities where no one has to cry alone.

Offering Community Support In All Areas Of Loss & Grief

We offer subsidised counselling to individuals, children and families/whanau whose lives are affected by grief and loss. This may be due to a loss of a loved one or from circumstances that have caused change that is difficult to manage.

Grief Support Services has been working in the community since 1987. We are located in Greerton, Tauranga and serve the Western Bay of Plenty region.

 

All are welcome.

Office Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm

Counselling hours: Monday 9:00am - 7:00pm, Tuesday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm

Art Exhibition

We are proud to be displaying  beautiful original artworks by local Bay of Plenty artists on our walls. We have a big variety of  colourful and expressive artworks for sale.

Support Counselling

Help us to reach an extra 85 individuals or families/whanau in the Western Bay of Plenty. We are inviting expressions of interest from local businesses to join with us to support our mission 

Horizons Suicide Loss  Support Group

​

We warmly invite you to our safe space to find and offer hope and make connections with others who understand grief after loss to suicide. An informal space where people with lived experience can offer a beacon of light, hope and comfort to those more recently bereaved.

WAVES After Suicide Support

​

WAVES is an 8-week grief education group that supports adults bereaved by suicide in their understanding and management of grief and development of resilience. Meet and share with others experiencing the impact of suicide.

Suicide Loss Support Peers

​

Are you struggling with the overwhelming grief and isolation of losing someone to suicide? Peer support offers a powerful solution, connecting you with others who can relate to your pain while providing a safe space to share, heal and grow.

Suicide Bereavement
Support Options

​

We offer counselling, groups, training and information for anyone affected by a loss to suicide or impacted by someone's suicidal behaviour. Our services relating to Suicide Bereavement Support are fully funded by Te Whatu Ora - Health NZ.
